Paragon park - anna daley young
Anna wanted to capture a music video for her song “Paragon Park” before the namesake was ripped down for good and before she moved out to LA, which were happening rapidly and simultaneously. Anna shared her story with me and two days later we met at her house, picked out the outfits, chatted through the story line and went right to the location to shoot. The catch- we only had 2 film cartridges- which equals less than 5 minutes of footage. Every second had to count with no extra film for multiple takes and with the limitation of film, there is no instant review of the shots. We had to feel it and let that be the guide. This is what we made

South Carolina - anna daley young
Anna reached out wanting to work on a music video for her debut album. I listened to the songs and South Carolina instantly stood out to me. A song about friendship and some of the first stings of coming of age- change. Diverging paths and the unknowns that come with it. Listening to the lyrics, I pictured the story- a single person in an large expanse and layers of black and white and bright color to embody the lonely introspection and the ebbs and flows of life. I saw the beach. I wanted a location that could nod to both South Carolina and the South Shore of MA which is where their friendship burgeoned. I connected with my friends at Greener Concepts to co-produce, shoot, and help bring the music video to life.
